When I was an evangelical one of my favourite scholarly publications was Themelios which self-describes as:

Themelios is an international, evangelical, peer-reviewed theological journal that expounds and defends the historic Christian faith. Its primary audience is theological students and pastors, though scholars read it as well.

There are some good book reviews of theology and biblical commentaries and the general articles are of a high scholarly standard. I am glad it is still going strong. The journal can be viewed and downloaded free of charge. This may be the first time a Muslim has recommended this publication! But there are advantages to be gained by educating oneself in the opposition camp’s work 😉
