John Barton FBA is a Anglican priest and biblical scholar. From 1991 to 2014, he was the Oriel and Laing Professor of the Interpretation of Holy Scripture at the University of Oxford. His books are of great value in understanding the Bible. He is giving a free lecture at St Paul’s Cathedral in March. If you can come, it is an occasion not to be missed.
