  1. Concerning Adam and Original Sin and what is adam in the first place (on the topic of ‘Did Adam and Eve Exist?) We should take guidance from Islamic sources first and try to understand them. The Christian concept of Original Sin is wrong but the Islamic idea of Original Sin is the correct one but poses a big, big problem for those who try and reflect. Suffice it to say, from an unproven source (me) that our adam was appointed to do a job say around 50,000 or so years ago and failed in his attempt. But ALLAH took pity on him (Epistle to the Hebrews) and allowed him to be that Sign, Pattern, ‘elder brother’ as Paul would call him. Is your elder brother, if he is a blessed guide, a god or a man? Definitely, he is a man!!! And who did the Prophet (pbh) hand the cup of milk or comb to at first try? To the younger one but was instructed by the Angel to give it to the eldest one (hadith)!
The whole point of this discussion is to ask if Muhammad (pbh) is just a prophet for the Arabs or for the whole world. If he is a prophet for the whole world, then he will be giving solutions for humanity and not just the Arabs! Now here is the Arabic structure of Original Sin in brief:
WE did indeed offer the Trust {vicegerency (lordship – creative dominance/power)} to the Heavens and the Earth and the Mountains; but they refused to undertake it, being afraid thereof: but man-{kind} undertook it; he was indeed unjust and foolish {to himself and those of his kind} Quran (33:72). Therefore, mankind lost out and had to be brought back into the ‘FOLD’ so to speak if he was to find redemption.
And one can accomplish this by following The Pattern set up by ALLAH – not savior per se because that is ALLAH ALONE but by having a champion who will be the ‘SACRIFICE’ or the one standing up for mankind as a SIGN or example. And we find his praises written in the Epistle to the Hebrews by Barnabas. And because we are 100% man, this entity has to be 100% man and only that!
So, Adam, according to hadith material, was truly the first prophet!
Narrated Abu Hurairah that the Messenger of ALLAH (pbh) said: “When ALLAH created Adam HE wiped his back and every person that HE created among his offspring until the Day of Resurrection fell out of his back. HE placed a ray of light between the eyes of every person. Then HE showed them to Adam and he (Adam) said: ‘O LORD! Who are these people?’ HE said: ‘These are your offspring.’ He saw one of them whose ray between his eyes amazed him, so he said: ‘O LORD! Who is this?’ HE said: ‘This is a man from the latter nations of your offspring called Dawud (David).’ He said: ‘LORD! How long did YOU make his lifespan?’ HE said: ‘Sixty years.’ He (Adam) said: ‘O LORD! Add forty years from my life to his.’ So at the end of Adam’s life, the Angel of death of came to him, and he said: ‘Do I not have forty years remaining?’ He said: ‘Did you not give them to your son Dawud?'” He (THE PROPHET) said: “Adam denied, so his offspring denied, and Adam forgot and his offspring forgot, and Adam sinned, so his offspring sinned.” (Jami’ at-Tirmidhi – 3076)
Abu Huraira reported ALLAH’s Messenger (pbh) as saying: There was an argument between Adam and Moses in the presence of their LORD. Adam came the better of Moses. Moses said: “Are you that Adam whom ALLAH created with HIS Hand and breathed into him HIS sprit, and commanded angels to fall in prostration before him and HE made you {to} live in Paradise with comfort and ease. Then you caused the people to get down to the earth because of your lapse. Adam said: Are you that Moses whom ALLAH selected for HIS Messengership and for HIS conversation with HIM and conferred upon you the tablets, in which everything was clearly explained and granted you the audience in order to have confidential talk with you. What is your opinion, how long would the Torah have been written before I was created? Moses said: Forty years before. Adam said: Did you not see these words: Adam committed an error and he was enticed to (do so). He (Moses) said: Yes. Whereupon, he (Adam) said: Do you then blame me for an act which ALLAH had ordained for me forty years before HE created me? ALLAH’s Messenger (pbh) said: This is how Adam came the better of Moses.
