  1. My questions connected to the “islamic Jesus” Isa, which I think is a figure invented by the inventors of Islam, are:

    1. If he is the Messiah why did he not attempt to liberate the Jews from the political yoke of the Roman oppressor? There were others who attempted to do so at the time of Jesus, such as Barabbas. Why did Isa not do anything? As if Allah had no interest in liberating the Jews from the Roman oppressor.

    2. Who was the islamic messenger to the Romans at the time of Isa? Why did he not exist?

  2. [4.171] O followers of the Book! do not exceed the limits in your religion, and do not speak (lies) against Allah, but (speak) the truth; the Messiah, Isa son of Marium is only an apostle of Allah and His Word which He communicated to Marium and a spirit from Him; believe therefore in Allah and His apostles, and say not, Three. Desist, it is better for you; Allah is only one God; far be It from His glory that He should have a son, whatever is in the heavens and whatever is in the earth is His, and Allah is sufficient for a Protector.

“His Word which He communicated to Marium and a spirit from Him;”

Why is this any different to anyone who is born who could be said to be a spirit from God?

Is the writer of the Koran trying to say that messengers are words communicated from Allah? Why this convoluted expression? What does it mean? Is there some kind of useful information being given here? It just looks like a clever attempt to give creedance to the Logos doctrine and at the same time make it inane.

    • Read carefully.

1: “Do not speak (lies) against Allah, but (speak) the truth”

2: “The Messiah, Jesus, son of Mary, was no more than a messenger of Allah”

3: “Why is this any different to anyone who is born who could be said to be a spirit from God?”

      – Nothing different regarding spirit from God.

      – Jesus’s spirit, your spirit, anyone’s spirit, animal’s spirit, all of spirits are from Allah.

The difference between Jesus and anyone that Jesus was born without a father, or just like Adam without a father and a mother, or just like a bird that Jesus made from clay and brought it to life with Allah permission.

Quran 3:47. She (Mary) said, “My Lord, how can I have a child, when no man has touched me?” He (Angel) said, “It will be so. Allah creates whatever He wills. To have anything done, He only says to it, ‘Be,’ and it is.”

All of them are from Allah.

      Just as simple as that!

      4: “Do not say “THREE”.
5: “Allah is only one God; far be It from His glory that He should have a son”
6: “To Him belongs everything in the heavens and the earth, and Allah is a sufficient Protector”.

Can you process it in your brain?
