Can Muslims copy Christians in using typology to find Muhammad in the Bible?

In a previous conversation with a Muslim, he asked why Christians are allowed to use typology to find Jesus in the Old Testament, but it is illegitimate to use the same methods to find Muhammad in the Bible? Here are my thoughts – you can leave your thoughts either here on BT or on the article itself 🙂

You appear to be more confused than ever before. Your arrogance has no boundaries. How could you use the word gospel in its singular form when the evidence is against you in any bible?

      • Hi Sabit,

Thank you for your kind words. Your objection doesn’t really touch upon the key theme of my article. But in a nutshell – the Gospel can be used to speak of all four Gospels. These Gospels are called ‘The Gospel [note: singular] according to Matthew/Mark/Luke/John’. There is early church usage showing that the Four Gospels could collectively be called the Gospel. Check out Martin Hengel ‘The Four Gospels and the One Gospel of Jesus Christ.’

Have a great day 🙂 God bless

  1. Can we get back to those lost Islamic sects that believed the longer wall of a private noble palace in the desert should point to Petra. I mean come on it’s the longer wall! Isn’t it obvious ? Ha ha
