What does the Qur’an say about the Bible? (part 1)

Does the Qur’an endorse the Bible? Yes it does! according to Christian polemicists today. To explore this question academically I quote from ‘The Bible in Arabic: The Scriptures of the “People of the Book” in the Language of Islam‘ by Professor Sidney H. Griffith. For further clarification I quote from two very different modern translations of the Qur’an, one Salafi (Hilali-Khan) and one Mutazilite (Muhammad Asad).
