Methinks racism lurks in the depths of the Christian West mind.

Western Christians worship a brown skinned Aramaic speaking circumcised Jew from 2,000 years ago – yet see a brown skinned Arabic speaking circumcised man from the same part of the world as alien and foreign to them.

Methinks racism lurks in the depths of the Christian West mind. Why? Because the Christians have turned their brown Jesus and his blessed Mother into nice white Europeans – just look around any Catholic Church.

Muslims however always see Muhammad in all his historical and ethnic particularity. They do not worship him or remake him in their own image.

  1. Agreed. However, going to fire this off even more on this as it was brought up in my aqeedah class. What they’re really doing is “God is in us a bit more than you”. If you look at idol makers they all indirectly worship themselves. For example, take the Buddha:

Friendly Chinese guy right? Wrong, the reality is he was an Indian man. Now the Christians when we Google Jesus:…0.0..0.103.457.4j1……0….1..gws-wiz-img…….0.dAMqDlkGwm0&ei=qkhhXu-oEpGrsQWV_KPIDg&bih=722&biw=1536&rlz=1C1CHBF_enUS878US878#imgrc=RdLBX5f2ufirgM

But wait here goes Black Jesus(as):

Now that MIGHT be closer but wait Christianity started spreading in Far East Asia and now we have Chinese Jesus(as):

Even philosophers like Xenophanes said the same.

“Ethiopians say the their gods are flat-nosed and dark, Thracians that theirs are blue-eyed and red-haired
If oxen and horses and lions had hands and were able to draw with their hands and do the same things as men, horses would draw the shapes of gods to look like horses and oxen to look like oxen, and each would make the gods’ bodies have the same shape as they themselves had”,+Thracians+that+theirs+are+blue-eyed+and+red-haired+If+oxen+and+horses+and+lions+had+hands+and+were+able+to+draw+with+their+hands+and+do+the+same+things+as+men,+horses+would+draw+the+shapes+of+gods+to+look+like+horses+and+oxen+to+look+like+oxen,+and+each+would+make+the+gods%E2%80%99+bodies+have+the+same+shape+as+they+themselves+had&source=bl&ots=BPZ5WC-13N&sig=ACfU3U1WoS2EL6K0Dt9ycbiw-t7bhkieUQ&hl=en&sa=X&ved=2ahUKEwicncu-gIToAhVbOs0KHcjzB-cQ6AEwA3oECAsQAQ#v=onepage&q=Ethiopians%20say%20the%20their%20gods%20are%20flat-nosed%20and%20dark%2C%20Thracians%20that%20theirs%20are%20blue-eyed%20and%20red-haired%20If%20oxen%20and%20horses%20and%20lions%20had%20hands%20and%20were%20able%20to%20draw%20with%20their%20hands%20and%20do%20the%20same%20things%20as%20men%2C%20horses%20would%20draw%20the%20shapes%20of%20gods%20to%20look%20like%20horses%20and%20oxen%20to%20look%20like%20oxen%2C%20and%20each%20would%20make%20the%20gods%E2%80%99%20bodies%20have%20the%20same%20shape%20as%20they%20themselves%20had&f=false

  2. “Methinks racism lurks in the depths of the Christian West mind.” Forsooth!
As stewjo004 demonstrates Christians around the world tend to depict Jesus in their likeness. Why interpret that as racism? Why pick out “the Christian West mind”? Is racism absent from the Muslim world? (or, indeed any other faiths).
