Except many countries such as Mali, Malaysia, Persia, Spain, Turks, Pashtuns etc. Islam does not destroy cultural identity it simply beautifies what a nation is good at and removes whatever bad it does. You are confusing some Northern African countries becoming a little “Arabized” to Islam but many Muslim nations did not do this.
