  1. “A time is coming when men will go mad, and when they see someone who is not mad, they will attack him, saying, ‘You are mad; you are not like us.”

    ― St. Antony the Great

This seem oddly prophetic of such evil behaviour. Holy St Anthony of the Desert pray to God for Us !

  2. Gross to watch such depravity and rebellion against God.

The gross rebellion of the gay agenda cannot be explained except for God giving them over to deception.
(But God does not do the deception Himself, rather He gives them over to the deceptions of demonic powers.)

    2 Thessalonians 2:9-12

The coming of the lawless one will be in accordance with how Satan works. He will use all sorts of displays of power through signs and wonders that serve the lie, 10 and all the ways that wickedness deceives those who are perishing. They perish because they refused to love the truth and so be saved. 11 For this reason God sends them a powerful delusion so that they will believe the lie 12 and so that all will be condemned who have not believed the truth but have delighted in wickedness.

    • “But God does not do the deception Himself, rather He gives them over to the deceptions of demonic powers.”
      2 Thessalonians 2:9-12

‘For this reason God sends them a powerful delusion so that they will believe the lie’

Your own Bible quote refutes you! lol

      • Have you heard Shamoun’s REDICULOUS verbal gymnastics on that one Br Paul?
It’s incredible that people listen to it and think it’s anything else than verbal diarrhea.

      • You forgot verses 9-10 which describe the Satanic and demonic deception.

“God sends” means God allows the evil spirits to be sent to do their dirty work.

Remember Satan could not attack Job, unless and until God took away the hedge of protection. (Job chapters 1-2)

Several times in 1 Samuel it says “an evil spirit from the Lord came upon Saul” – but that has to mean that God allowed an evil spirit to attack Saul.

      • ‘“God sends” means God allows the evil spirits to be sent to do their dirty work.’

        Pure spin.

  3. 31 “Simon, Simon, behold, Satan has demanded permission to sift you like wheat; 32 but I have prayed for you, that your faith may not fail; and you, when once you have turned again, strengthen your brothers.”

    Luke 22:31-32

Satan and demons cannot do anything without the permission of God.

So, the verses in 2 Thessalonians 2 means that God permitted or allowed evil spirits to do the deception.

    • Omg dude! It does NOT say that God ALLOWED or PERMITTED. It says explicitly ‘GOD SENDS…’.
So God is the one that is the initiator.
End of story. For God’s sakes man, what is wrong with you xtians??? Is there EVER a time or a LIMIT to your verbal gymnastics? Like ever????

      • lol they twist their Bible to suit their desires. Classic.

      • “They twist words from their places”, says the Quran in description of Temple and his brothers.
        How fantastically accurate?!

      • “And Micaiah said, ‘Therefore hear the word of the LORD: I saw the LORD sitting on his throne, and all the host of heaven standing beside him on his right hand and on his left; and the LORD said, “Who will entice Ahab, that he may go up and fall at Ramoth-gilead?” And one said one thing, and another said another. Then a spirit came forward and stood before the LORD, saying, “I will entice him.” And the LORD said to him, “By what means?” And he said, “I will go out, and will be a lying spirit in the mouth of all his prophets.” And he said, “You are to entice him, and you shall succeed; go out and do so.” Now therefore behold, the LORD has put a lying spirit in the mouth of all these your prophets; the LORD has declared disaster for you.’ Then Zedekiah the son of Chenaanah came near and struck Micaiah on the cheek and said, ‘How did the Spirit of the LORD go from me to speak to you?’ And Micaiah said, ‘Behold, you shall see on that day when you go into an inner chamber to hide yourself.’ And the king of Israel said, ‘Seize Micaiah, and take him back to Amon the governor of the city and to Joash the king’s son, and say, “Thus says the king, ‘Put this fellow in prison and feed him meager rations of bread and water, until I come in peace.’”’ And Micaiah said, ‘If you return in peace, the LORD has not spoken by me.’ And he said, ‘Hear, all you peoples!’”
        1 Kings 22:19-28

God caused the prophets to prophecy lies by allowing an evil spirit (demon) to inspire these lies through them.

When the Lord asks “who will go and entice Ahab?”; and then God allows the evil spirit to do the actual lying, this shows that God sent the lie by allowing the evil spirit to lie but he didn’t do the lying Himself.

Please take note that God Himself did not say the actual lie, but allowed the demon to say the lie through the prophets.

This is the same principal in 2 Thessalonians chapter 2 and also if you studied Job chapters 1 to 2 carefully you will see that God allowed Satan to attack Joe what God did not do the actions of suffering Himself.

Principles of interpretation have to be harmonized together in a consistent way, because God is truth and he cannot lie.

        Titus 1:2
        “God, who cannot lie . . . “

      • “God, who cannot lie . . . “ – written by a fraudster who pretends to be Paul!

      • I know that you believe Liberal scholarship against Pauline authorship of the pastoral epistles .
But even you might agree that the principle that God cannot lie is true, right ?

Or do you think God is able to lie and deceive ?

      • Even conservative Evangelical scholars like professor I. Howard Marshall believed the Pastoral Epistles are not by Paul. The evidence is overwhelming. Only dogmatic fundamentalists like you Ken disagree. Sad.

      • “””””

        “”””

        What did I just read????
Allowing and SENDING a delusion / PUTTING an evil spirit into someone are 2 different things.
        You are unbelievebly twisting things!
God does not merely ALLOW it, but is the the one who SENDS it. Notice how the verse explicitly says: ‘…the LORD HAS PUT a lying spirit in the mouth of all these your prophets…’
First he asks for a volenteer and then when one volenteers he takes that spirit and ‘PUTS it in the mouth of the prophets’. You twist 2 Thessalonians and then when called out on it, you do the usual tactic of going to another verse, twisting that one even more and than claim they are harmonized.
2 Thessalonians says explicitly that God SENDS a delusion, NOT merely allowing it JUST like He PUTS a lying spirit into the mouth of the prophets and NOT just merely allowing it.

    • Ken,
Isn’t it sad that you discuss the source of your scripture because there’s a actual debate over your book and its sources? Why would you believe in books whom you don’t know what their sources are in the first place!?

Have you joined to the club of (you don’t need to believe in the bible to be christians)? Let’s face it, Ken, the existence of this club among christians speaks volume.

  4. Dear Mr Williams

I thought that this might add a little whimsical levity to this discussion.

    “I
The Owl and the Pussy-cat went to sea
    In a beautiful pea-green boat,
They took some honey, and plenty of money,
Wrapped up in a five-pound note.
The Owl looked up to the stars above,
And sang to a small guitar,
“O lovely Pussy! O Pussy, my love,
What a beautiful Pussy you are,
    You are,
    You are!
What a beautiful Pussy you are!”

    II
Pussy said to the Owl, “You elegant fowl!
    How charmingly sweet you sing!
O let us be married! too long we have tarried:
But what shall we do for a ring?”
They sailed away, for a year and a day,
To the land where the Bong-Tree grows
And there in a wood a Piggy-wig stood
With a ring at the end of his nose,
    His nose,
    His nose,
With a ring at the end of his nose.

    III
“Dear Pig, are you willing to sell for one shilling
Your ring?” Said the Piggy, “I will.”
So they took it away, and were married next day
By the Turkey who lives on the hill.
They dined on mince, and slices of quince,
    Which they ate with a runcible spoon;
And hand in hand, on the edge of the sand,
They danced by the light of the moon,
    The moon,
    The moon,
They danced by the light of the moon.

God be with you in your journey
