God is the Great Designer

The finding demonstrates that gear mechanisms previously thought to be solely man-made have an evolutionary precedent. Scientists say this is the “first observation of mechanical gearing in a biological structure”.

Through a combination of anatomical analysis and high-speed video capture of normal Issus movements, scientists from the University of Cambridge have been able to reveal these functioning natural gears for the first time. The findings are reported in the latest issue of the journal Science.

  1. How does the myth “God created/designed Adam from clay” account for the fact that Neanderthal-DNA is found in the genetic “design” of modern man?

  2. If you make bold claims like “God is the Great Designer” the question is how is the way he evidently “designs” consistent with the timeless revelation of absolute truth he supposedly gave you?

  3. Let the humiliation of the doorknob begin:

“If you define being human as being of the genus homo, Adam (the first human) was not a Homo sapiens.”

    As scientist Casey Luskin explains:

“In contrast to the australopithecines, the major members of our genus Homo — such as erectus and the Neanderthals (Homo neanderthalensis) — are very similar to modern humans. They’re so similar to us that some paleoanthropologists have classified erectus and neanderthalensis as members of our own species, Homo sapiens.” (https://evolutionnews.science/2012/08/the_genus_homo/)

Regarding Neanderthals, Luskin quotes paleoanthropologist Erik Trinkaus:

“They may have had heavier brows or broader noses or stockier builds, but behaviorally, socially and reproductively they were all just people.”

    Then the doorknob said:

“If you make bold claims like “God is the Great Designer” the question is how is the way he evidently “designs” consistent with the timeless revelation of absolute truth he supposedly gave you?”

Well, let’s let Luskin answer, shall we?

“While virtually the entire hominin fossil record is marked by incomplete and fragmented fossils, about 3-4 mya we see ape-like australopithecines appearing suddenly. When the genus Homo appears around 2 mya, it also does so in an abrupt fashion, without clear evidence of a transition from previous ape-like hominins. Subsequent members of the genus Homo appear very similar to modern humans, and their differences amount to small-scale microevolutionary changes.

    • @ QB

Hahahahahaha. Ahhhh… That’s rich. Don’t you love how people who have no idea about science try to quote it?

    • Hi hi Pavlov barking again he just can’t help it.

So “Some paleoanthropologists have classified erectus … as ….Homo sapiens. The magic word is “Some”. How long did it take you to google this lame try of justification?

      • 😂🤣 So the doorknob has nothing intelligent to say. So what else is new?

The fact is that classification of poorly preserved fossils can change, dummy. It is not written in stone. So scientists are actually debating how to classify these fossils.

It doesn’t matter if it’s “some” moron. Science is not a popularity contest. It’s based on facts. And the facts are that both H. erectus and H. neanderthalensis are very similar to H. sapiens, and especially H. neanderthalensis. Do you have an actual response to this or are you just going to be the usual doorknob? You asked for this doorknob. Now take your humiliation like a man. 😉

      • You humiliate yourself and your religion with your literalist exclusivist fundamentalist approach. It is reasonable to take “Adam the first man” for what it is – an ancient myth. That’s perfectly fine and ok. Then move on and develop an understanding of religion that can benefit homo sapiens in the 21st century – and not insult his/her intelligence.

    • So you believe Adam the first man was a homo erectus sent down! from paradise made from clay “in heaven”, (after given all knowledge by God, adored by the angels and so forth). literally, right?

Just where is this “up and down” in relation to planet earth and where is this paradise located in space-time?

    • If you google long enough you might find some paleoanthropologists who will back you up on this nonsense.

      • So the doorknob still won’t deal with the science. It seems you don’t know what you are talking about. No wonder you’re just jumping around. Typical doorknob. 😂

    • At least the biblical account locates Adams creation on Earth. Makes more sense from your supreme scientific and “Islam is common sense” approach, don’t you think?

      • Hahahaha, not really stupid. The so-called “Garden of Eden” doesn’t exist on Earth. If it did, surely we would have found it by now. Notice that the Genesis account states that God put cherubims to guard the garden so that man could never get back inside and steal the forbidden fruit.

That Adam was created outside of space-time, in a supernatural realm, and then was “sent” down to Earth is a matter of the unseen. We can’t speculate on that. But what the science shows us is that, like other organisms, humans arrived rather suddenly on Earth. That is what the fossil record shows us. Not only that, but Neanderthals exhibited behavior that is wholly human. They buried their dead. They made hunting tools. They made cave art. They even made musical instruments. Perhaps besides tools, none of these behaviors are seen in other animals, not even other primates. This is what the science tells us. You are too stupid to deal with it. This is why you keep jumping around. The moral of the story is: don’t stick your nose where it doesn’t belong, doorknob. Otherwise, you’ll get put in your place.

  4. Al-Jasiyah 45:4

And in the creation of yourselves and what He disperses of moving creatures are signs for people who are certain [in faith].

LOL!! The doorknob still won’t deal with the science! You asked for this moron. Now take it like a man.

  6. @ Agnostic

Don’t really care about this point or topic just chiming in because of a mistake made. There’s a difference of opinion regarding the where Adam (as) was located because Jannah just means Garden. Some scholars of the opinion it was a garden on Earth. Some favor in “Heaven” which is different in relation to the creation currently. While some are of the opinion the Garden was made only for this specific purpose then destroyed. So your contention wouldn’t affect anything.

    • It couldn’t be a garden on Earth since Allah says in Surah Al-Araf to Adam:

(Allah) said: ‘Get ye down. With enmity between yourselves. On earth will be your dwelling-place and your means of livelihood, for a time.’ He said: ‘Therein shall ye live, and therein shall ye die; but from it shall ye be taken out (at last).’”

If it was on earth, then He wouldn’t have said “on earth will be your dwelling place…”

      • Yeah I’m familiar and it has been a while since I researched this and while I’m not completely convinced of all points argued (I personally favor it was THEE Jannah) I was just saying if one followed the opinion it was on Earth like the Jews or Christians Agnostic’s point is mute. I’ll give some arguments just for learning.

First to show that I didn’t get this from nowhere quoting Ibn Kathir (note he favors it was not on Earth as well but I just want to show that the difference of opinion exist):

“If one asks, “If the Paradise that Adam was thrown out of was in heaven, as the MAJORITY OF THE SCHOLARS ASSERT, then is it possible for Iblis to enter Paradise, although he was expelled from it by Allah’s decision (when he refused to prostrate before Adam)”

        1. Allah said “in” the Earth (or land) not “on”
        https://www.islamawakened.com/quran/7/24/w4wbv.html

As the title said you can interpret the ayat you quoted as on Earth by reading it:

I said to them: “All of you get down from here. Some of you will be enemies to others and in the land you will have a place to stay and enjoy temporarily. In it you will live and in it you are going to die. And from it you will be brought out…” (7:24-25)

Nouman Ali Khan commenting earlier on this Surah:
I asked: “What has stopped you from bowing as I commanded you?” and he replied: “I’m better than him! You created me from fire and him from some clay! I replied: “Get down from this, for you are of those are insignificant and humiliated!” (7:12-13)

“What is ha? Is the pronoun going back to anything? Jannah isn’t mentioned yet so we
cannot say for sure what the ha is referring to. We can say, the station, the honour, daraja
the rank. This place as high as Iblees has reached is not a place for the arrogant.

So one could argue the “get down” is from their rank. Him(as) being on the Earth would also flow with Allah creating humans specifically to be deputies for the Earth when He was speaking with the angels, bringing them to the point

        2. Adam was created from Earth
We all know the hadith that Adam was created from the various dirts and thats why we come in different shades:
        https://sunnah.com/urn/639390

        3. No one has seen or knows about Jannah
It was narrated from Abu Hurairah that the Messenger of Allah (ﷺ) said:
“Allah says: ‘I have prepared for My righteous slaves that which no eye has seen, no ear has heard, and it has never crossed the mind of man.’”
        https://sunnah.com/ibnmajah/37

No one knows what joy is being kept hidden for them, as a reward for what they used to do. (32:17)

        4. Satan was a disbeliever and they cannot enter Jannah so how could he tempt Adam(as)?

Have no doubts, those who deny My revelations and showed arrogance in regards to them, the gates of Heaven will not open for them even a little and they will not enter the Garden until a camel passes through the eye of a needle. That is how I compensate the guilty. (7:40)

        5. How could Adam be removed from Jannah?
…nor will they ever be asked to leave. (15:48)

Again I believe these points can be reconciled with the big Jannah but still it isn’t a consensus and we can all agree Agnostic’s point is stupid and what is known as a “reach”.
