The Lord’s prayer clearly says “lead us not into temptation”. š
” . . . but deliver us from evil.” Matthew 6:13
God’s purpose for trials and testings is not to lead us into sin – James 1:13-14, but to strengthen our faith.
The prayer is asking God to protect us from evil and doing evil.
It is not indicating that God does the tempting to evil.
Testings / trials / difficulties are under His sovereignty, but God does do the act of sin itself.
Like God allowed Satan to attack Job, but God did not do it Himself. And Satan could not attack Job unless God allowed it. see Job chapter 1
