  1. Powerful verse with honorable mention that jesus was a man who clearly doesn’t identify himself as divine.

  2. I don’t think any honest person would assume that Jesus was trying to tell jews that he’s the godman. I don’t think any honest person would assume that jews got the idea of the godman. According to the evangelists’ scale, Jesus was a very poor evangelist! In fact, christians today understand the gospel better than Jesus. However, christians cannot admit this fact because they’re not honest.

    The question that christians should ask is, why would Jesus make such a statement like this to a jewish audience? Was the idea of a man who hears from God so strange for jews? Why didn’t Jesus tell them the new news (i.e.Trinity) and how that works? Why didn’t Jesus explain to them the concept of incarnation?
